The 2024 FIDE World Chess Championship was held in Singapore from 25 November to 12 December 2024.
Outcome
Gukesh Dommaraju (India), aged 18, defeated defending champion Ding Liren (China) with a score of $10-6$ after 14 games to become the youngest undisputed World Chess Champion in history. Gukesh is the second Indian to win the title after Viswanathan Anand.
